I obsess over lots of things, but Penny Dreadful was one I didn't I would... Sure I'm a huge fan of Josh Hartnett and have been since well, FOREVER... But when I first watched the first episode I was not sold. I love vampires, werewolves, witches, Dorian Gray and most things occult, does that mean I'm any less Christian, no. I love God and I have no doubt about that, but the occult is so fascinating. So I gave Penny Dreadful another shot and fell in love. I truly can not express the love of the characters, who are truly well picked, Eva Green as Vanessa Ives to Josh Hartnett as Ethan Chandler to Reeve Carney as Dorian Gray, the cast is fascinating. I will not expose Miss Ives and Mr. Chandler, but for anyone who has read Dorian Gray, you all know he is and ageless immortal of sorts, also a sex maniac. Doesn't matter if it's man and woman, woman and woman, or man and man, a true modern day free lovers, and boy does he play in all those areas. Does that pike my interest? Well... Yes and no, its not what draws me to the show but adds a fun twist on your norm. As I said before I love the occult in the since that it truly is fascinating, I want my own Tarot cards, for nothing more than to say I own them, does collecting objects of the occult, considered worshiping the occult, well no... Does it make me less of a Christian, no... And if you think so, you can take your close minded, weekend Christian self and get lost. I'm secure in who I'm and have exciting taste. Well as I wait for season two to start with baited breathe, (I may need a Xanax) because May is when season one started and it's only January.... Ugh!!!! I feel itch and slightly depressed at the thought. Well if you didn't think I was weird before now you do! Love ya, Penny Dreadful and see ya in season two! Join the occult, I won't tell!
Ethan Chandler, Brona Craft, Victor Frankenstein, Vanessa Ives, Dorian Gray, Sir Malcolm Murray, and Sembene
