The Dark Ones by Rachel Van Dyken~ My Review

I must admit I am a tiny bit bias when it comes to Rachel, she is one of the most amazing people I have ever met and I'm glad to call her a bestie, but Adult Paranormal Romance has never appealed to me... Till now! I'm not sure why, but even with the hundreds of Teen Paranormal Romance I read you would thing it would all boil down to the same thing, right? Nope, but Rachel was able to capture the essence that so many are lacking, you better believe me I put this book to the test. So with no spoilers revealed, let me give it to you straight. The characters themselves were fantastic, easily welcomed into my book boyfriend clan and I'm not just talking about super sexy and dangerous, can't forget dangerous (Ethan gets personal on that one) Vampire, but a few other you need to read to find out who, but I promise you will see it. Then you have our human, Genesis, first can we just adore her name, so original... Love, love, love! She is strong, stronger than even she knows and that makes her beautiful in my eyes. Like all new paranormals you must get through a little history lesson first, but oh man is the build up worth the wait. Easily moving into my Ethan/Nixon/Colton book boyfriends and pushing The Dark Ones into one of my all time favorites, this book is easily a 5 Stake review, but keep the stakes to yourself and not near my Ethan. Congrats to my bestie Rachel and I am ready for the next book! XOXO!
